I sure wish you luck, that is just uncalled for, if the kids got benefits then they should have it. Hard telling what they did with his info.
some times I really wonder about the government.
I had the IRS send my husband a letter saying if my husband didn't file his taxes in 2007 for 2006 he would be penelized, interest and even prison. I called them and got this nasty woman who wouldn't let me speak to explain why he didn't and she demanded to know why he didn't file, so I got nasty too and said, "well ya think it might been cause he died in 2005?" so she was still nasty wanted to know why I didn't and I said I'm on disability, I DON'T HAVE TO". I said if they had checked his file there should of been a death certificate and showed where I put the info at the top of the tax paper he was deceased and when. 2 months later he gets another one but this time I got some guy who cleared it all up. He had the letter I sent back but she never documented anything about our conversation.
so nothing suprises me out of these people. I guess if you have to, get a hold of the congressmen in your area or senators. take care
