Looking for any birth records of Peter Nease born in Scotland, perhaps Glasgow, about 1793. Tradition is that he ran away from home as a boy and spent many years at sea, ending up in Penn. where he married Lucinda Ellen Martin. They were the parents of several children. Peter and Lucinda both died in Ill. in 1840's. All the children came west. Peter's last name could be spelled any variation, including McNease. Any suggestions?
