My 2nd great uncle,Josiah BoI/Yce md.3rd about 1873 to a Martha, whose maiden name was Leech. Martha, who was born New York had prior mgs. to a Thomas Ruby and a West. Martha's father was Job. If an Ohio birthplace was given for your name of interest it is likely near Kirtland, Ohio and these families may have been Mormons at one time. Josiah was, and my spouse has a collateral family surnamed Gilliland who were in that area of Nebraska in that time frame. There were many Mormon's who came to Winter Quarters Nebraska & Kanesville (now Council Bluffs) Iowa as Mormons and went no further west.
