Nora Ann Peterson born 21, 1859 at Springvale, Decatur Co., Iowa. She was married to James Thompson at Dorchester, Nebraska, 23 March, 1886. Nora died sometime in 1928 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Frank Paterson at Kansas City, MO. Nora Thompson lived at Alexandria, Thayer Co., Nebraska and ran a farm there with her husband, who pre-deceased her by quite a while.

Five children were born to them:
Edward Merle Thompson(who I believe the middle name was used from Admiral Peterson), who moved to Colorado, he had some later called Mirle.

William C. Thompson( Nora had a brother named William Henry Peterson).

May Thompson( Nora had a sister named Mae Viola or Viola Mae) either or.)

Hugh James Thompson

Ethel Thompson

Nora was the second daughter born and was a sister to my great-grandfather Francis Marion Peterson(Frank) born at Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois, in 1844. Parents were Thomas Peterson and Mary Wright and they were Mormons.

I hope you have not changed your e-mail address or at least check this board often. Myself, when I got into all of this I had inherited family papers for four sides, and being untrained, tried to do too much at one time. I have since learned better. Yours is not the only very important message that I have had to catch up with a good deal later.

My personal e-mail is:

Gail Moore Boyd
Colorado Springs, Colorado

I certainly hope to hear from you.

Gail S. Boyd
