The family of James F. and Anne M. HENDON appear on the 1880 US census in Monroe, Saline Co. I am looking at the abstracted copy (on CD's) that I recently purchased from the LDS. This family should be HENSON, not HENDON!

Census shows James F. HENDON, self, occ. Farmer, age 32, b. England, father and mother born England; Anne M. HENDON, wife, occ. Keeping House, age 29, b. NY, Father and mother both born Ireland; Ellen M. HENDON, dau, age 3, b. Neb, father born Eng, mother born NY; Estella L. HENDON, dau, age 1, b. Neb, father b. Eng, mother b. NY; Maud C. HENDON, other, occ. servant, age 11, b. Ill, father b. Norway, mother b. Norway.

James is James Freeman HENSON, Anne M. is Anna Maria (maiden name GOLDEN), Ellen M. is Helen Mabel, Estella L. is Estelle Louise. I do not recognize Maud.
