Update, but still looking. Since the last posting, I found that Carrie Reed Rowland returned to Ohio after 1900 and sometime between 1900-1910 married Charles Dunfee in either Washington County Ohio or Hocking County Ohio. Since Jacob didn't die until 1919, Carrie and Jacob would have to have been divorced. Is there anyway/place to search for a divorce record? I don't know if it would have been filed in Cedar County or Red Willow County if there is one, as I don't know when Jacob came to Red Willow. I do know he died in McCook, and is buried at Riverview according to his obit and death certificate. I do know that he was paralized for sometime, shortly after 1900 and I suspect that has to do with why Carrie went back to Ohio with the children. Also in his obit, there is no mention of Carrie or his children, probably because she left him. If anyone can help figure out this mystery, I'd appreciate it.
