I've seen your posting from 2002 and hope you have found some of your answers to the Denning-Pike-OMara family that you are researching.
I too am a descendant from Anna Eveline Denning and Pete Pike through their son James Edward Pike and Edith Violet Ohlsen Pike.
I did have contact with Gwendolyn [Close] Weeks back in the early 1980s. As a child Margaret O'Mara Denning lived with her family.

She sent me a better story on the O'Mara girls trip from Ireland (recalled from Margaret's herself)...it's still not much: Mom died in Ireland and Dad took the three girls to family in America (New York) He was buried at sea. Three girls arrived and sent to live with family in NYCity.

I know one other O'Mara sister was Lavina who came to live in the Mercer Co., Illinois area with her sister Margaret. Third sister...?
