Omaha World Herald 4 June 1903-Marries Man Who Shot Her
Columbus, Neb., June 4-Stephen S. CORBETT, who in a fit of jealousy, shot Mrs. Minnie JONES at her home in Polk county, on the 4th of last month, seriously, but not fatally, injuring her, and who has since stood charged with shooting with intent to kill, drove in a closed carriage with the woman yesterday to the Platte county court house, accompanied by Miss Pearl SPUNT [sic], and was quietly married to Mrs. JONES in the county judge's office. Miss SPUNT and a newspaper man witnessed the ceremony.
