Would like to correspond with anyone having knowledge of the family of William Jacob Haffner and wife, Persis Swisher. The last specific reference I have for them places them in 1910 in Superior, Nuckolls Co., Nebraska. There are earlier notes putting them at Sterling, Crab Orchard, Crabtree, Orchard City????, Nebraska as early as the 1880's This William Jacob Haffner was b. Feb. 10, 1835 in VA, married Nov. 5, 1865 in Fulton Co., IL and had at least the following children: Charles R., John W.,Loretta B., Anna V., Maggie Estell., and probably others after the 1880 census.
