Hi Jean,
So many times the family stories get off the tract somehow!
I do have proof that the birth place is Ohio, but it is a long story. I spend much time reading old newspapers to gather information. After reading I found that Jacob Branstiter hd visited in Nemaha County when his niece's husband Al powell had died. So then I researched Jacob, who was living in Edgar, Clay County, NE. His pension file gave much information, including an affidavit from Daniel, (brother of Henry and Jacob) which said he had the Family Bible. The Affidavit only told about Jacob as he was the one applying for the pension.
I would be happy to send copies of the information if you will send me your address, and I would love to have what you have on Henry's family, and his father Daniel too.
