County Court Record Lookup Perhaps?
Posted by: Garland Edgell (ID *****4338) Date: August 16, 2006 at 11:15:02

Does anyone have access to Nemaha Co. court records? I discovered in Ancestry.com Historical Newspapers that the wife of a distant relative was tried in 1921 for killing him. She and the defense claimed it was a suicide. She was Lucille (Lucy) Neal and the dead husband and my distant relative was Billington Neal. The accounts of the arrest and trial of Mrs. Neal was in the Lincoln Nebraska State Journal in various editions from August 21, 1921 to November 26, 1921 but no report of a verdict was made.

I am tring to find out if she was acuitted or found guilty.

Any help would be appreciated.

Garland Edgell
