Red Cloud is in Webster Co. and they have a very nice museum Webster Co. Museum which
can supply information. They also have the Willa Cather Museum which also has area history.
The town was named for Chief Red Cloud though he was never that far south. The town still contains the brick streets downtown and has quite a few of the old buildings left.
It is small enough that you should be able to
write to the museums by their names and town .
The zip is 68970. They may even be able to provide info on your Grandfather.
Good luck
