This has been an exhaustive search. My son came to me with a project for school to find out where his ancestors came from. My father was Howard Eugene Tibbens. I know most of his family was in Nebraska...that I knew of. I have just located my father retired in Guam in the last few years, but there was a lot of bad blood between him and my mother so I hate to ask him too much. I am not sure what to do.
I am researching my mother's name but that's a whole other story that takes me everywhere including dating back to Ferdinand Magellan. Now what I am looking for is Tibbens. Are there anyone on this board related to or knows any Tibbens in Nebraska? I would really appreciate it. I know nothing about my dad's side of the family. I do know that as his parents were much older when the children came along they have long since passed on. Any help anyone could give me I would really appreciate it. I believe he has a brother who may be still living in Ashland or thereabouts. I am not sure of his name...perhaps Martin or Marvin...all I remember is it started with a "M" but I can't be 100 % on the info I have gotten from my mother.
