Thanks Frank,
Only census I had was the 1900. Altha (Alta) was Alta Margret Rose Carlisle. The wedding info shows that Henry S and Daisy Chapman were Edith's parents.

It is interesting to note that Grandfather had retired by 1920 and that Dad was supporting a family of four with his job as a carpenter. He was considered a Master Carpenter and Cabinet Maker when he married Mom in 1944.

If you run across anybody from the Chapman line of that first marriage please point them my way. I have wondered if I have any half siblings of that union. I also have a photo of my Mom holding a baby that looked like me but more than ten years before I was born. That is another mystery for future research.

For reference Dad's line goes back to a Fifer at Valey Forge with George Washington making any blood decendents eligable for the Decendents of Valey Forge.

Thanks again for the information.
Larry
