I find alot of "Kolb's" and nothing seems to fit with my ancestry line. The furthest "line" I have found is 1860 Census in Cumberland district, Alleghany Co., Maryland for a John N. Kolb (44 yrs old at this time), wife Catherine (33 yrs old at this time), daughter Lovinia ( 6 yrs old at this time), son Conrad ( 3 yrs old at this time). From this..Conrad married a Laura Virginia Burgess and they had a son John Richard "JR" Kolb. JR was born about Oct. 1887 in Cumberland, Maryland. JR married Elizabeth Horst about Oct 1910 in Crawford, Nebraska. If you would like more information on the next 2 present "lines" feel free to ask.
