Johnson, Nemaha, Neb - Close to Smartsville?

If you are familiar with old Nebraska Townships I am inquiring about what I now believe to be an extinct township - Smartsville. I am searching for my grandmother's family in Nebraska. Her death certificate says she was born in Smartsville. But recently I have received some information from the Nebraska 1880 census that indicates the family was in Johnson, Nemaha, Nebraska in 1880. Her father's name was Robert Pulliam and mother's was Mary Rutter. The census show her to be 2 years old which would be the correct age and a James Pulliam (62 yrs old) which could have been Robert's father. Any help appreciated. email at rmfhart@cs.com

Thanks
Ronna
