Hello Desire:
I have some suggestions. First of all try to pinpoint where your George and his wife were married.
From there go to the county seat of that counnty and ask to look in their records of marriage. Talk to
the oldest member of your family. I am sure you have already done this but try again sometimes people
remember different things each time you visit. I was able to find my great gradnparents marriage license
in this manner. They were married in Omaha (Douglas County) on May 2, 1882. I also found my
greatgrandfather's brothers wifes marriage license at the Minden (Kearney County Courthouse).
There were married in Dec of 1889. So you see it is possible to find marriage licenses out there but the
key is finding out where.
Hope this is of some help to you.
J. Olson
