Surely, most were in Gage Cty until about 1900 and then spread out to Scottsbluff area, Box Butte Cty, Buffalo Cty. Some in Merrick Cty.
Ancestry.com is free until July 31st. I looked for George M. Found one in Civil War who lived in holderness NH and elisted Aug. 20, 1862 in E Co 12th Infantry Reg. age 24 died of disease in Falmouth VA Jan. 20, 1863 Pension applied for my mother Matilda Moulton on March 2, 1863. But then under pensions for Civil War I found the one above and another that says pension filed for in NE and OR by wife Addie. Seems really odd to see Nebr. and Oregon on a George M. Annable who was in the Civil War - would that be too old for your George M.?
