In Reply to: HENRY BROWN, b. ca. 1842, and wife ALICE BAKER, Buffalo County to Kearney by Tom Camfield of 15650

The family is listed on the 1885 Buffalo Co NE census. I believe 1900 Henry and wife Mary, along with son Fred L and w/Maggie are in Napa Co CA

I'm assuming this is the same Henry, but the CW info is incorrect.

Henry was raised in Vernon, Shiawassee Co MI and married here. He enlisted 4-15-1864 Vernon MI; Co A 10th MI Inf; he filed for pension from NE; Mary filed from CA. I doubt he went to IL to enlist. His file should give you useful info.
He is the s/o Amos & Amanda BROWN of 1850 Vernon MI; Alice is the d/o David and Juliann 1860 Vernon MI [also this Co 1850]; 1870 BROWN/BAKER live just a few doors apart

Addie BROWN m. Wm O SNAVELY and resided Washington Co ID:
Addie Evelyn b 5-4-1878 MI; d 1-2-1943 Wash. ID
Apparently Fred & Maggie d 1913-18, as their ch are living with Mary E BROWN 1920 Napa Co
