I have this:
Hilda Kristina Petersson, born 1885, October 07 in Urshult (Kronobergs county, Sweden).
The family moved to Gårdstånga (Malmöhus county, Sweden) in July 1909 (from Urshult).
Her parents were Peter Johan Bengtsson (born 1857) and Emma Christina Magnidotter (born 1864).
According to Gårdstånga (Malmöhus county) migration length of 1909 Hilda Kristina emigrates 1909, November 25 to North America and according to the CD
"Emigranten popular 2006" she emigrated 1909 November 26, and
departure port
was Malmö and the destination was Boston.
According to the
the passenger list from the
ship Ivernia she arrived in Boston December 10, 1909. According to the
the passenger list she was going to an Uncle, Joseph Ljungqvist (Youngquist) in Nebraska.
Joseph Magnusson settled in Krångede (Jämtlands county) December 15, 1886.
He married September 3, 1887 with Margretha Bergdahl (April 5, 1855 Wiksjö) and had a son, Carl Alfred Theodore (November 17,1888 - December 11, 1888).
He emigrated to N.Amerika March 10, 1889 and seems to have traveled alone,.
Apparently Margretha Bergdahl went to North America shortly after Joseph.
Attestens date 7/9-1889.
Hilda was living with the Younquist´s in Nebraska 1910 according to the 1910 census.
Joseph was born 1863, March 19 in Urshult (Kronobergs county, Sweden).
Jospeh must changed his last namne (from Magnusson to Ljungkvist (Youngquist)) but I don´t know when. Perhaps in the USA?
He´s mentioned as a contact to Hilda in the passenger list and that she lives with him 1910 (according to 1910 census), where she also referred to as his niece. Though his surname was previously Magnusson and we followed him in the Swedish church records and found that he had married Margaret Bergdahl and they both emigrated in 1889.
Does anyone know what happend to Hilda Petersson after 1910? Did she get married, children and so on? Where did she go or did she stay in Nebraska?
