Thanks for responding to my post! No, at least at this time, I can't establish a relation to Seward, but you can bet I'll try looking at the necessary censuses, etc. now, if I can. I agree with you VOLTS = VOLZ, and the date you gave seems to be in the ballpark, too. Do you know anything more about her family? If I find a link, I'll certainly contact you, and I hope you'll do the same for me. BTW, I know PORTER is a common name, but I also have PORTERs back past the American Revolution. I think I put them on the PORTER page...
