I'm working on a number of Slavin/Slaven families who arrived in Omaha starting in the 1870's.

The patriarchs are Michael, c. 1800, & Rosanna, c. 1817; Michael emigrated from Ireland in 1823, married Rosanna in RI, and lived in IL, IA, and finally Omaha, NE.

Their children:
John b. 1840 RI, died in Civil War.
Mary Ann (Marian?) b. 1842 RI, married P. McGavock.
Catherine b. 1843 RI, married John Sexton.
Michael b. 1846 RI, married Mary Josephine Mallen.
Edward b. 1847 RI, married Mary McDaniel, lived in Muscatine, IA.
Felix b. 1850 RI, married Mary ?.
Owen b. 1852 RI, married Ellen Kelly.
Sarah (Belle?) b. 1854 IL.
Amelia b. 1856 IL, married Frank Sullivan.

They left numerous descendants in Omaha as of the 1930 census. I have information to share and would like to hear from others working on these families.
