Irvin H. Wiedenfeld 87, of Hartington died Wednesday, Sept 22, 2004, at Beverly Heathcare Center in Hartington.
Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Hartington, with Monsignor Cyril Werner and the Rev. John Pietramale officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery.
Irving was born Nov 2, 1916, in New Castle, Neb. to Henry D. & Catherine(Koch)Wiedenfeld. He grew up in rural Dixon County Neb. and attended Grand Ridge County School.
He Married Grace L. Tesdall on Jan. 16, 1940 in St. James, NE. She died March 23, 2003. at the age of 82. He was a dedicated farmer, who farmed the Wiedenfeld homestead farm for more than 50 years. He also worked at Prince Hydraulics for about four years.
Through the years, he has been a member of Tara Hill Catholic Church, St. Peters Church in Newcastle and Holy Trinity Catholic church in Hartington. He was a former member of the Grand Ridge School board and the Obert-Maskell scholl board.
Survivors include three children and their spouses, Kenneth and Mary Wiedenfeld of Hickman, Neb., Katheryn and Charles Burl of Pierre, SD.,and Marilyn and Larry Topf of salix, Iowa.
He was proceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers, William and Raymond Wiedenfeld.
