He would later marry wife Agnes Louise and move to Bushnelle, NE, child 1: Mable M. Wentz, born 1902, child 2: Liza L. Wentz, born 1904, child 3: Ethel V. Wentz, born 1906, child 4: Ralph Edward Wentz, born 1910, Marquette, Hamilton Co., NE, death April 3, 1990, Atchison, Atchison Co., KS.
Caroline Wentz married Henry Hohner sometimes noted as Heener. Child 1: Carl Hohner, born February 18, 1875, death May 1967, Hastings, Adams Co., NE, child 2: Henry Hohner Jr., born July 26, 1878, death August 1966, Smith Center, Smith Co., KS, child 3: Charlie Hohner. NE, Mary Wentz Rupke Bauer Thurs Anderson, age 63, was shown living with new husband, Harm Anderson (sometimes noted as Andersson), age 76, born in Finland, who came to the US in 1868, naturalized in 1880, and her son Louis J. Bauer, age 36, born WI, and wife Hannah Bauer, age 18, born NE. Mary's son, Louis J. Bauer, was working as a repairman for the railroad. In the same census household, would be Mary's brother, Jacob Wentz, age 55, married, and his two children, son Herald Wentz, age 17, single, born NE, and daughter, Leta Wentz, age 19, single, born NE. There was no mention of Jacob Wentz wife at this residence. Jacob Wentz was working as a fireman for the railroad.
1930 Federal Census, Hastings, Adams Co. NE, Mary Wentz Rupke Bauer Thurs Anderson was shown living with her son Louis J. Bauer, 46 born WI, wife Johanna C., 28 born NE, whose mother was born KS and father was born in Germany. Louis J. Bauer and wife Johanna children: daughter Mary A. Bauer, 9 born NE, Minnine L. Bauer, 7 born NE, George H. Bauer, 5 born NE, Helen K. Bauer, 4 born NE. Mary Wentz Rupke Bauer Thurs Anderson, age 73, was noted to be a mother-in-law. Sister, Hannah E. Wentz Roeder, was noted to be an Aunt.
Jacob Andrew Wentz, 35, born July 1864 PA, wife Ella, 34, born May 1866 IL, and step children J. D. Canfield 14, Chester H. Canfield 11, Floyd E. Canfield 9, and Florence Canfield 7, were living Orville, Hamilton Co., Nebraska in 1900. Jacob remarried in 1911 to Nellie Belle Hayes, Hastings, NE. The marriage ended in divorce before 1919. Jacob Andrew Wentz died March 9, 1922 Hastings, Nebraska.
Charles David Wentz, 31, born Apr 1869 PA, a single male, worked as a farm laborer for William and Hattie Stockham family of Farmers Valley, Hamilton Co., NE in 1900 Federal Census.
Widow Hannah Wentz Ailers would move from Jackson, Osborne Co., KS and marry Balser F. Roeder Dec 15, 1913 in Hastings, Nebraska. 1920 Federal Census, Hastings Ward 4, Adams Co., NE, Balser Roeder, age 72, was not working, but Hannah Roeder, age 59, was employed at managing a grocery store. Balser F. Roeder died October 22, 1928 in Hastings, Nebraska. He is buried in Kenesaw, Nebraska from the Guttau Allmon family web site. Photo Balser F. Roeder and his first wife Marea Stengel. 1930 Federal Census, Hastings, Adams Co., NE, Hannah E. Wentz Ailers Roeder, age 69, noted as Aunt, and sister, Mary Wentz Rupke Bauer Thurs Anderson, age 73, noted as mother-in-law, was living with Mary's son, Louis J. Bauer. Widow Hannah Wentz Ailers Roeder would move to the home of her daughter, Carrie Ailers Bliss Anderson, of Westminster, Adams County, Colorado by 1943.
