I'm not sure if there is a connection, but I'm looking for information about my great-grandfather, Asmus Marxen. He came from Schleswig in 1879 and settled in Iowa according to my great-grandmother's autobiography. They were living in Alda, Nebraska in Hall County in the 1880 Census. At that time they lived with a "N" Marxen, who I am thinking was probably his brother. What caught my eye about your posting is that my grandfather, son of Asmus and Mary was named Henry Peter. I'm trying to run down this "N" Marxen. If I find anything more specific I'll let you know.
