Floyd L. Staudenmaier, 85, of Luther Park Care Center died of complications of Parkinson's disease there Thursday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Home For Funerals in Norfolk, Neb., with burial at Crown Hill Cemetery in Madison, Neb.
Mr. Staudenmaier was born in Tilden, Neb., and had lived in Norfolk before moving to Des Moines in 2001. He was the retired owner of Staudenmaier Sheet Metal, an Army veteran of World War II and a past district and local commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Elks Club and the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Algeretta; a son, Jim of Urbandale; a sister, Pearl Shonka of Naugatuck, Conn.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Brooks Funeral Care in Clive is handling arrangements.
