Mae F. Benson
Mae F. Foster was born to Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Foster on October 18, 1875 at Sterling, Nebraska and passed away on
September 29, 1949 at Lincoln, Nebraska having attained the age of 73 years, 11 months and 11 days.
On March 14th, 1900 she was married to Edward T. Benson at Sterling. To this union was born one daughter, Iona Mae. Mr. and Mrs. Benson worked together in their studio all through the years. After Mr. Benson's death, Mrs. Benson continued to operate the studio by herself. This she did until ill health forced her to close the place and move to DeWitt, to the home of her daughter, where she could be taken care of. For the greater part of her life, except these last few years, she lived in Sterling.
She was a member of the Methodist church in Sterling.
She leaves to mourn her going, her daughter, and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Grimes; one granddaughter, JoAnn Grimes; one brother and two sisters, and other relatives and many friends both at Sterling and DeWitt. "Earth to earth, and dust to dust." Calmly now the words we say. Leaving her to sleep in trust, Till the Resurrection day. Father in thy gracious keeping, Leave we now thy servant sleeping.
Short funeral services were held Sunday at the Venrick Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. followed with a service at the Sterling Methodist Church with Rev. S. G. Rasmussen officiating at both places. Interment was in the Sterling cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Wm. Brier, Ed Brier, Harold Zwonechek, Curt Burney, Dr. Runty and Richard Petersen.

We wish to thank our friends for the many kind thoughts and expressions of sympathy extended to us during our recent bereavement. Ione, Harvey & JoAnn Grimes.
