My 4th grreat grandmother; Anna Marie Weiss, born April 29, 1768 in Memmelshoffen, Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France, died January 06, 1861 married her third husband Michel Schaaf on September 30, 1796. I am descendent from her first husband
Lorentz Acker.

Michel Schaaf and Anna Marie Weiss were the parents of Michel Schaaf, Anna Marie Schaaf, Catharine Schaaf, and Madelaine Schaaf. Thir son Michel Schaaf, born November 05, 1795 in Memmelshoffen, Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France, died February 25, 1881 married Madelaine Acker on November 30, 1817. They were the parents of Michel Schaaf, Marie Schaaf, Madelaine Schaaf, Jean (John) Schaaf, Catherine Schaaf, and George Schaaf. George Schaaf camd to the US through Philadelphia, PA . Married Anna Deckert in about 1858, then first sellted in Johnston County, Iowa before moving to Nebraska where they raise their family.

George's brother; Michel Schaaf, born May 02, 1819 in Memmelshoffen, Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France married Anna Marie Gaestel on February 06, 1849. They had the following children: Barbara Schaaf, Emma Schaaf, Francis Schaaf, John Schaaf, Joseph Schaaf, Madeleine Schaaf, Catherine Schaaf, Michael Joseph Schaaf, Marie Anne Schaaf, Anne Marie Schaaf, andd George Schaaf.

Joseph Schaaf, born January 01, 1850 AND Michael Joseph Schaaf, Born December 13, 1857 came to the US, maybe with their uncle George. Both Joseph and Michael settled in the Holt County, Nebraska area.

I have more on this family from Anna Marie Weiss on at my post on World Connect and will be adding more later.
But I am still missing information on some of the above names. If you can help, it would be appreciated.

Patrick Turner
