Hello
I am looking for any information on the parents or family of a Andrew William Powell who was born March 15, 1841, probably in Noble County, Ohio. Andrew had at least one brother Isaac, who was born either in 1854 or 1848 in Ohio. Andrew Powell in census listed his father as born in Ohio, and in 1900 he said VA, throughout the census he said his mother was born in Ohio.

Andrew married Rachel Clegg June 10, 1862 in Noble County, Ohio. In August 1862 Andrew enlisted in the 116th Ohio Inf. and on his discharge papers in 1866, he said he was living in Stafford, Monroe County, Ohio.
In 1870 they were living in Liberty Twp., Washington County, Ohio with children:
Margaret 3, Maria L. 2, and Reuben 2/12

By 1880 they had moved to Harlan County, Nebraska with children:
Margaret 13, Maria 12, Reuben 10, Charles 10, Mary 6, Lucy 4 and Andrews brother Isaac Powell was with them age 26.

By 1900 they were living in Johnson County, Missouri, they had been married for 38 years, 10 children born with 8 living. Children Renea 14, and frank 12 (both born in MO) living in the household. Also their son Reuben who was 30, married for 4 years was living with them, but his wife was not with him, he married Nellie Ramsey in 1895 in Atchinson County MO, Reuben remarried in 1908.
Andrew William Powell died in Warrensburg, Johnson County, Missouri Nov 24, 1907 and Rachel (Clegg) Powell died in Warrensburg, Johnson County, Missouri Sept 1, 1909.

Thank You Craig campbell
