Mrs. Addle Helen Dumond passed away Sunday [Aug. 25, 1963] after several months illness at an early hour at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 2 days. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Wright Funeral home with burial in Ash Hollow cemetery.
Addle Helen Wilson, daughter of James and Mollie Wilson, was born November 23, 1884 at Hoopston [editor: Hoopeston], Illinois. She was married to Alfred Fought at Chappell and to this union were born three children, one girl and two boys.
Her husband died in 1906 and she remarried to Sam Dumond. They lived on a farm for several years near Alliance and he died in 1920 and she later moved to Lewellen.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter [editor: 1910 census shows daughter Alice born about 1904 in Nebraska]. She is survived by her two sons John of Kennewick, Washington, James of Lewellen and a brother Earl Wilson of Lewellen, three grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Rev. Duane Knierim officiated at final rites. Vocalists were Mrs. William Dailey and Mrs. Robert McCord with Mrs. George Thompson organist accompanying.
Pallbearers were Eugene Delatour, Duke McCormick, Ralph Armstrong, Paul E. Temple, Alford Smith and Sam Eggers.
