Looking for information on:Otis B Heffelfinger, business man and live-stock dealer. He was born in Whiteside county,Illinois on January 5 1881, the son of Bell M.and Louise (Wagner) Heffelfinger. Otis came to Nebraska with his parents in 1887 at age 6yrs. His first home was that of GrandIsland,Nebraska, then Adams county (only for a short time however). Otis recieved his education in the public schools of Beatrice, and was associated with his father Bell M. in the meat-market business also in farming and live-stock raising until his father's death. He had conducted farming and stock business on his own account, and he was associated with H.L.Goble in the meat-market business in Beatrice, where they did a large business in both Wholesale and Retail lines. The Meat Market was conducted under the Firm Name : Goble & Heffelfinger. Otis married Effie Veon on January 15,1901, daughter to John and Hulda (Burner) Veon,of Beatrice,NE. If anyone can help me trace the tracks of this business or Knows anything about it PLEASE PLEASE e-mail me at Shortma1@aol.com. Thank You in advance for any and all help.
