John Case(b. 1834 Mansfield, Cattaraugus Co. NY) & Loretta Mae Helms(b.1853; Coldspring, Catt. Co. NY) were married in 1871 in Catt. Co., New York. Before they were married, John was quite the traveler. He and his brother Sidney Willette Case(b. 1841 Catt. Co. NY) along with Sidney's wife (Elizabeth Arents)resided in the Sandwich Islands for a few years where Elizabeth & Sidney's first child (Nellie May Case)was born on May 17, 1870. John also travelled to South America; on September 1st 1872 Sidney's 2nd child (Frank L. Case) was born in Cattaraugus County New York. This information thus puts these 2 brothers back in New York between 1871 and 1873. Sidney eventually went to Norton Kansas where he lived the remainder of his life.
After marrying, John and Loretta travelled from New York to Furnas County Nebraska and this is where their 3rd son, Lynn William Case, was born on November 9, 1876. At some point after this date, John and Loretta moved to Norton Kansas with their 3 sons, Jay D. Case (b.Oct. 12th 1871; NY), Fred Case (b. Nov. 15th 1873; NY), Lynn Wm Case (b. nov. 9th 1876; Furnas Co. NE). This is where their 4th son Edward Lee Case was born on Sept. 4th 1881, and their son Fred died on Oct. 11th 1881. Fred was buried in Norton Kansas.
Lynn William Case is my great grandfather. I am trying to locate any other information on him and other family members. What kind of connection is there between Furnas, NE and Norton, KS? Are there other family members out there? Let me know if we have a connection. thanks! Aiya
