George Washington Swigart, Sr. (b. 1824 Holmes county, Ohio)married Martha Grim (b. 1830 in Ohio) in Sullivan county, Missouri in 1848. In 1864,they moved to South Pass, Douglas county, Nebraska, with the Doyle, Shatto, Montgomery familes from Missouri. Martha Grim's mother was Mary Tipton Grim (Withrow); George's parents were David & Rebecca Swigart.

Martha Grim died in 1867 & George Swigart Sr. moved to Hickman, Nebraska, where he lived until 1900 when he moved to Lincoln county, Oklahoma, where he died in 1906.

Would like to correspond with anyone who knows anything of the Swigart/Grim families.
