Can anyone add to this information ?? I am interested in where Abner may have died and is buried ??
I was recently given the information that Reuben Decker jr's , grand father Abner ,was listed in the 1880 census with his daughter 's family in Covington , Dawson NE.
Edward Triplet ,who married Mary Decker in Benton co MO in 1877 .
listed on the LDS fmily history site for the 1880 census ,
Nat. Archives film # T9-0746 , pg -339c , with Edward and Mary Tripet , are;
Abner Dicker , age 67 ky , father B- SC, Mother B- SC
occ. - farmer
Eliza M. Dicker , age 58 IN, father B- Can , Mother B- Can
occ - house keeper
The dates and birth places are all correct, what is new is the birth places of their parents . SC and Can .
Abner Decker is aso listed as a tax payer with Martin Decker his son , in the 1889 Fristoe township, MO
As far as the family of Reuben Decker Jr , after his first wife , Anna died he married Gertrude Tansey , all of the including his daughter Iva Decker Braun, are buried in Overton Cemt. Dawson co NE.
Reuben' sons Clarence and Harry stayed in Nebraska , his daughter Allie married and moved to Utah .
