SPRAGUE, WHITE, CAMEO, WILSON, LOMAX
I am looking for further information on any of the individuals mentioned below. Some of this information was in Dr. Warren Vincent Sprague's books of 1913 and 1941.
Several descendants of Henry Harrison Sprague
(OH) and Catherine KIRKPATRICK (PA) lived in
Dawes County, NE, in Crawford, Chadron, and near the Coxville Post Office southeast of Crawford, between 1850,and 1926.
The Coxville Post Office operated from 1885 until 1905. Is there a post office building still existing there?
Milton Jasper SPRAGUE was born on December 23,1849, near Memphis, Scotland County, MO.
He married Mary Frances LOMAX on August 31, 1876, at Quitman, Nodaway County, MO. Milton lived near Crawford, Dawes County, as late as 1926. I am looking for his place of death, and the date.
Milton and Mary had six children, Charles Clarence SPRAGUE, Louie May SPRAGUE, Tina Dot SPRAGUE, Raleigh Norton Sprague, Truman Olin SPRAGUE, and Estella Meritta SPRAGUE.
Estella Meritta SPRAGUE was born September 30,1876, and married Eugene R. PHILLIPS on November 23, 1898, at Chadron, Dawes County.
Frank Leslie PHILLIPS was their son. They seem to have moved away, to Virginia.
My great grandfather, Augustus Manford SPRAGUE, was sometime referred to as Manford
Augustus SPRAGUE. He was born on May 17, 1852, near Memphis, Scotland County, MO.
I would like to know when he arrived in Dawes County, NE, and when he left. He died at Madison, Greenwood County, KS, on August 21, 1919.
He was married to Isabelle Elizabeth WHITE.
The dates and places of her life events are unknown, except that she died at Madison,
Greenwood County, KS on February 27, 1930.
She was also known as "Belle E. Sprague."
My grandfather, William Glen SPRAGUE, was probably born near Coxville, Dawes County, NE, around 1883. He died in Shawnee County, KS, on March 3, 1934. Glen is buried in the Hamilton, KS cemetery with Augustus and Isabelle.
Glen was married to Grace CAMEO, who was born around 1891, place unknown.
My great uncle, William Ernest SPRAGUE was born about 1876, probably near Coxville KS.
He married Mary F. Gore in Emporia, KS, on February 4, 1906. Ernest died, in Independence, KS, about 1965.
Another great uncle, Irvin Curry SPRAGUE was born near Coxville, Dawes County, NE on April 28, 1876. He died at Tulia, TX in 1964.
Great aunt Bertha SPRAGUE was born and died in 1917, and is buried at the Bethel Cemetery in Dawes County.
Great aunt Inez SPRAGUE died in 1904 in is buried at Hamilton, Greenwood County, KS. I need a birthdate for Inez.
Great uncle Fred R. SPRAGUE was born around 1889, died in California, and is buried in the Inglewood Cemetery, Los Angeles County, CA.
Harriet E. SPRAGUE was the grandaughter of Milton and Augustus' brother Henry Hosea SPRAGUE. She was the daughter of Henry Harrison SPRAGUE and Mabel CLAY.
Harriet was born before 1914, and died before
1975.She was buried in Chadron, Dawes County, NE. Was she ever married?
Lavona Ellen SPRAGUE was born on September 27, 1856, in MO. She was the sister of Augustus, Milton, and Henry. Lavona lived in Chadron, Dawes County, NE, and married William Wilson. What were the dates of marriage and death?
Thanks.
