Nettie Christine Hale/Mike Mckinney

I am looking for any information on my husband's greatgrandfather - Mike Mckinney.
My husband's grandmother is:
Adra Yvonne Mckinney (raised with the last name Apperson)
born - 19 June 1928 in Moline, Kansas
her birth certificate says:
father - Mike Mckinney
born - Clyde, Nodaway Co, Missouri
age - 27
mother - Nettie Christine Hale (maiden name)
born - 1906 Comstock, Custer Co, Nebraska
age - 21
Adra always used the name Yvonne, she has a sister named Nadine that is supposed to be by the same father.
We have been told : Mike Mckinney was a business owner and George Apperson (born abt. 1909) worked for him and something must have happened because Nettie ended up marrying George Apperson and moving to Tulare Co, CA, bringing the 2 girls with them. Raising them with the name Apperson. We have been told that Mike Mckinney was so upset about this that he moved to Ireland (where he had a brother named Paddy) and Mike died in a car accident there not many years later. His brother Paddy was supposedly living in Cork, Ireland in the 1980's.
If this story sounds familiar to anyone or if anyone knew Mckinneys or Hales in the mentioned areas we would like to hear from you.
Thanks, sorry the message is so long!
