My Edward Guthrie moved to Custer County in 1884. Came from State of NY with wife and children. I don't think there is a connection. His one daughter (my ggrandmother) Nellie (Ellen)Mae married Michael Joseph Rottgen. It would have been nice to find a connection but at this time I don't think so. Thanks for getting back with me.
