HOFFS, CLARKS OF CLARKSON, MIDLAND

Hello !

I'm searching for my elusive "Hoff" relations. My gr-grandmother, Ruth V. Hoff was born Aug 4, 1912 in Clarkson. I know her father's name was Carl Hoff, and her mother was Ethel or Emma Clark. Gramma always said she was born on a farm, and that her mother's family (Clarks) were farmers in the same area as well. Carl moved to California in 1920, therebouts, after he and Ethel divorced. Ethel/Emma married a fella by the name of Bill Sherman, who I believe was from the same county (Colfax). They later moved to Denver, Co, where Ethel died in 1925. My gramma moved to California to live with her dad after that. I know from the 1920 census, that Carl was born in Nebraska, but his parents were born in Germany. I think gramma told me that Carl had a brother who was either a doctor, or studying to be one at the time that he sold the farm to move to California. Any info at all regarding the Hoffs or Clarks, would be greatly appreciated !!!

P.S. I know that Ethel's mother's name was Rebecca Clark, and that she had at least 2 sisters, I think one named Edna.
