I recently received a post card (announcing family reunion) with a picture of Johann Christoph and Dorothea Elizabeth Porath and family taken October 1914. Is there anyone else online researching these families. There are 8 children in the picture, all appear to be adults. There are four girls and four boys.
After my husband's mother married Edgar Porath, he was adopted by Mr. Porath. I haven't done research on this line; however, the post card has made me curious to start. Does anyone know the names of the eight children. I found cemetery listings on one of the Cherry County sites and found many Poraths, including Johann and Dorothea buried in the Mt. Hope and German Settlement cemeteries.
