EGGLESTON / INGHAM: Mayflower Descent
I need help in finding any record(s) on the following family who were living in Coldridge, Cedar Co., Nebraska in 1907, then in Bassett, Rock Co., NE in 1930.Sometime after 1930 and before 1946, the family left Bassett and ended up in Los Angeles, CA.Following is specific information that I do know about my Great Aunt Myra (Eggleston) Ingham and her family:
Myra (born Eggleston) Ingham, born 1 May 1862 and deceased 31 Jan 1946 in Los Angeles married an Edwin D. Ingham, born 4 Sep 1860 in La Grange, Texas and deceased 7 Oct 1947. They were married on September 4, 1887 in Osceola, Clarke County, Iowa. They had two known children:
1 Helen Lenore Ingham, born 29 Jun 1888, married 28 Sep 1945 to John A. Howard, resident Los Angeles, CA
2 Claude Eugene Ingham, born 26 Oct 1889, deceased 2 Nov 1979 in Riverside County, California), married 5 Apr 1916 to Myrtle Guyda Wells in Lincoln, Nebraska. Claude was a banker in Los Angeles.
Myra Elizabeth INGHAM, mother of Helen and Claude, was born the daughter of Alpheus EGGLESTON (Alpheus b 4 Jul 1830 Portage County, Ohio, deceased Osceola, Iowa 9 May 1905, buried Maple Hill Cemetery, and Mary BEUTELON, deceased. Osceola, Clarke Co., Iowa 15 May 1892, buried Clarke County, Iowa).
Per my Great Grandfather's estate papers from Clarke Co. IowaCourthouse, Great Aunt Myra and her family were residing in Coldridge, Cedar Co. Nebraska in 1907, so they would have moved to Bassett, Rock Co, Neb. sometime after 1907 and before 1930.
I copied the following directly from the CA Death Records on Rootsweb and have just submitted an email to both the County of Los Angeles Public Library and the Los Angeles Public Library and provided them with the following specific information in hopes they will help find any LA records and specifically obits on my above family:

Claude Eugene Ingham - CA Death Records indicate my Great Aunt Myra's (Eggleston) Ingham's son above, Claude Eugene Ingham, deceased in Riverside County, California 2 November 1979.
How I discovered that the family was living in Bassett, Rock County, Nebraska in 1930 was when I had tracked down the obit of one of Myra and my Grandpa Eggleston's sisters who was living along the Moreaux River in a remote northwest area of South Dakota near the old Bismark Trail. My Grandpa EGGLESTON, Myra's brother, was the Clarke Co., Iowa County Sheriff when he was tragically killed in the big 1917 Osceola, Iowa town fire and explosion while on duty as the Night Marshall. My mother was 8 years old when it happened and lost touch.I have much of our family history/direct lineages going back to early 1600's MA and CT and eight documented, proven lines of direct descent back to the Mayflower which I would love to freely share with my grandfather's siblings' descendants if I could only find them. All bloodline descendants of Myra (Eggleston) and Edwin Ingham through Helen (Ingham) HOWARD and Claude Eugene INGHAM are descendants of Plymouth Colony Governor William Bradford (2 lines), John Alden (2 lines), Elder William Brewster, Richard Warren, Peter Brown and William Mullins. I am a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants and I have wondered for many years about the families of my Grandpa's brothers and sisters and have been trying for four years to find them. All bloodline descendants of Myra and Edwin above are Mayflower desendants through my Great Grandfather.Any help in finding any Cedar Co. or Coldridge records on the above family would be most appreciated.Or any help in getting this information to any Rock Co. historical/genealogical societies. Please contact Jeannie Winter at "[email protected]".Thank you.
