Researching Charles A. Hagerstrom of Plattsmouth NE
I am researching the family of Charles A Hagerstrom and his wife Anna Sophia (Maiden Name Unknown)of Plattsmouth, NE.
Charles AKA Carl was born in 1828. Exact date is unknown!
C.A. Hagerstrom died on May 18, 1912. 83 years old
Anna was born on Sept 24, 1834. She died on July 11, 1909.
She was 75 years old when she died.
They were married in Sweden - Linkoping December 11, 1854 according to Anna's obituary.
They had one son August H. Hagerstrom born on Dec 12, 1858 and passed away on August 21, 1905. He did not marry and had no known heirs.
Charles and Anna came to the United States from Sweden.
Charles came before Anna but it is known she came to the USA in 1869.
All 3 are interned in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
Charles A. and Anna S. Hagerstrom are important to me because they took my grandmother in and raised her as their own when she was only 2 years old. My Grandmother's mother had died and her father was unable to care for her. My Grandmother retained her orginal name as the Hagerstrom's never formerly adopted her.
I have pictures of Anna and Charles if there is anyone that would like to have a copy of them in case Charles or Anna is someone's long lost great great great uncle or Aunt.
One last bit of information is that Charles A. Hagerstrom worked for the Burlington, Railroad.
I would be interested in knowing more about this Hagerstrom Family and background.
Respectfully submitted
J Olson
