Looking for more information about Thomas and Burtha Galland who lived in Silver Creek Township, probably Sec 1 or Sec 12. The next person to them on 1870 Neb census was Martin Bordson, a Norwegian, b. May 6, 1855 and coming directly over in 1872. The Gallands, too were Norwegians. There were Beebes in that township also and Henry Beebe married Valbur Galland and moved to Oklahoma. Question 1: Is there anything written about them in the history books there (maybe a Norwegian settlement in Silver Creek)? Q 2: Was anything written about Henry Beebe or his father, Lyman Beebe? Are Thomas and Burtha buried there? Or did they move on to state of Washington? Would someone be willing to look in cemetery records for Galland, Gallund,etc.? Q: Does this county have a nice history book? I would be interested in purchasing one.
