Looking for informataion on the family of William Morris and Maria Plunkett, living in Alliance, Box Butte County, NE from about 1888 on. Wm. and Maria Morris moved from Canada, to Emmetsburg, IA, and then to Alliance, NE in about 1888. Both William and Maria died in Alliance in 1922. They had eleven children: Elizabeth, Daniel, William, Margaret, John, Minnie, Thomas, Agnes, Nellie, Alice, and Ruth Morris.
Several of the Morris family stayed in Alliance: William Morris was killed while working as a brakeman in 1894; John died and is buried at Alliance, Minnie married John Wiker and they operated a muscic store, she died in 1967; Thomas died in Alliance in 1954, Alice was married to Daniel Crilley, she died in 1909; Ruth Morris was a teacher and died in 1972.
Maria Morris was my grandfather's sister. Any information on the family will be appreciated.
