Murder/scandal circa 1894-95

I am seeking information on the arrest of Clarissa McAboy on the charges of murder /performing an abortion that lead to death.

In Sept 1894, Flora Steward/Sharp left Meigs County, OH, arriving in Park River. She then visited Clarissa Oaks, wife of Gorham Oaks, formerly of Meigs County, OH. She died early in Oct of that year.

In Dec of that year, her father, Charles Steward came looking for her, had her body exumed and examined. It was determined that she died of premature labor/abortion at the hands of Clarissa Oaks. Clarissa was arrested according to Meigs County papers.

Was there a trial? I don't think she went to jail, because she is found in the 1900 census living with her husband on their farm. He died in 1902, she in 1913.

According to the newspaper article in Meigs County, the young lady had been living in the residence of Nail (sic?) and Maggie (Oaks) Holt.

Any information on this incident would be greatly appreciated.
