Hi,
I just posted an old newspaper story reporting the suicide of Alexander PETERS in Williston, North Dakota. This bizarre and gruesome report states that PETERS first attacked his wife and six children with a hatchet. Then "he blew off his head."
This was scanned from an original issue (NOT microfilm!) of The Times-Democrat newspaper (New Orleans, Louisiana) dated September 6, 1911, and you can see it online here:
