Porter Bissell is my link to a letter sent in 1841 by his grandmother, Sarah Catharine Eastman Caldwell of Oakland, Michigan to her brother Porter Bradley Eastman in Mt. Vernon, New Hampshire. The Mrs. Lincoln Thomas mentioned is my ggreat aunt Clara E. Stone Thomas who married Abraham Lincoln Thomas about 1910. The first marriage of A.L. Thomas is listed as Molly Elizabeth Bissell, born Nov 1861 (1900 Grand Haven, MI census) Pontiac, Michigan & died 5 May 1909 & Buried at Sunnyside Cemetery in Long Beach, California. They married 26 Jun 1883 Metamora, Lapeer, Michigan. Thanks for posting this obit., it made my day!
