Hi Maria...excuse me for jumping into the middle your communications with Lisa regarding "Census Lookup, North Dakota 1900-1910" but your message of 2/10 mentions William Colville of Scotland and I believe he might be my
great grandfather's brother. I've copied a portion of the subject message at the bottom of this note as a reminder.
My great grandfather was David Colville, born in Scotland - Kirkcaldy we think. He settled in Wisconsin in the early 1850's. At some point thereafter he was joined by his brother William and sister Agnes. Both David and William farmed in Calamus Township. They both served in the 52nd Wisconsin Infantry in the later stages of the civil war. David moved to ND in the 1890's.My assumption is that his brother William moved there as well, because of land transactions, but I have not had it confirmed as yet.
Anyway, if any of this sounds familiar I would certainly appreciate any information you have William Colville and his family.
Many thanks,
Richard Colville
