I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about my Krausch ancestors further back than my great-grandparents -- and I know very little about them.It's possible they came to Ukraine from Germany, as so many Germans did.It's also possible that their name was changed to Krausch from something else after they arrived in America, because my great-grandfather couldn't write.He signed his name with an X.Perhaps the clerk in North Dakota, where a lot of Germans settled, heard him say his name and thought it sounded like Krausch.Actually, on the immigration papers it's spelled Crousch.I can't find passengers with either spelling on the Deutschland III in 1903.
