I am look up volunteer for Wapello, Monroe and Jefferson County Iowa.(for free) I have done the Russian research (for free) when I was the coordinator for the GERMAN RUSSIAN Villages of Karlsruhe and Gut Reisenhauer of Russia. I did a lot of research myself and when you have to send to germany and Russia for record searches, they charge an arm and a leg! (even if they don't find anything)I only charge if I find something. The look up is free and I always get back to you within 24 hours at the most. Genealogy is my life. I have always liked helping others and I hope they now can help me out a little. Right now I am helping a lady in a nursing home find out what happened to her mother. Her mother disapeared in 1960 and she hasn't heard from her since. I am not charging her anything for this as I offered to help her. We are getting close to the answers for her and I only worked on this for 2 days. She is 85 and just wants to find her long lost mother. We know of course that her mother is dead but, she is so excited to hear from me. This work is very rewarding and I have cried a lot of tears in happiness and sorrow.Sometimes a search is easy and other times you just don't find anything at all.I still do simple look ups but now being in the situation I am, I need to support myself now as I am divorced. I would like to make a business of this if I can. I still send lots of free info but I have invested at my own expense a cd library of over 200 cd's. At a cost of $4000.00. Not to include all the info I have copied down through the years to share with others.I even have a cemetery that I myself only have dug up burried stones and copied the info to share with others and it is on the internet for free. I have ship lists that I have also done myself and they are all over the internet for free. I have been posting free info for over 10 years now and I think others may wish to help me out now as I certainly have helped all the German Russians for a long time now. Most people are grateful and do donate money. Most people of the German Russians know me pretty well. They know I am honest and would take money for doing nothing! I myself am Irish:::As you know some people want to find out their family history but, don't have the time or the money to do this. Like I said I am good at what I do. I do have lots of references if anybody would like to see them. They have come from the IowaGenweb as well as the German Russian sites.
I also do Irish genealogy as I am well versed in Irish history also.
