Dan,
I donot have a lot of information on the Phillips line. Robert B Phillips in his book
"One of GODS Children" stated on page 14 that
his great-grandfather William Garrison Phillips came from The British Isles, perhaps
Wales in the seventeenth century. The clan seperated, once at a point in Pennsylvania, and again in what is now the town of Watertown,Tennessee near Nashville. Some left for Arkansas and from them my grandfather, William Lafayette descended. He futher states that William Garrison Phillips
came from an unknown lowland and settled in the Altapass area. Hope this will help.
